For locals as well as for tourists, the English Garden in Munich, the capital of Bavaria in Germany, has become an important place for relaxation and leisure activities such as walking, riding a bike, eating and drinking, sunbathing.
Located next to the Odeonsplatz, the Hofgarten is the most central garden of Munich and therefore quite suitable for relaxation after sightseeing or shopping in the city center.

In summer 1972, the XX. Olympic Games were carried out in Munich that had hardly any sports facilities until then. For this purpose, the Olympic Park was created between 1966 and 1972 in the north of Munich on a barren area - the Oberwiesenfeld - that had only been used for military exercises and as sports airport before.
